Kindergarten Registration for September 2012
We are in the process of planning our organization for September 2012. If you have a child born in 2007 or 2008, he/she is eligible to attend Senior Kindergarten or Junior Kindergarten in September 2012. Please call the office at John Mahood Public School to request a package and arrange an appointment (519-669-5153)
Winter Weather has Arrived
With the arrival of the much anticipated snow children are reminded to demonstrate respect for the creations of others. Students are encouraged to help build creations but not tear them down. We will attempt to provide designated areas for snow games. Please remind students that there is no throwing snowballs outside of these areas. Students are reminded to dress appropriately for outdoor winter play and to wear all clothing sent to school by parents.

Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Students who do not qualify for bussing should be walking to school. Parents who choose to drive their children are reminded to adhere to safetey guidelines in the Gibson Park parking lot. Students are not to be running through the parking lot and should be dropped off at the designated spot. Please reduce speed when entering and exiting the parking lot and demonstrate respect towards bylaw officials who are working to ensure the safety of your children. Thank you all for your cooperation.
Parents are reminded that there is no stopping or parking, at any time, in the bus loading zone located directly in front of the school.
Clubs
Junior 21 League (Mr. Ellis and Mr. McCluskey)
This club for grade 4 and 5 students gives the participants a chance to improve their basketball shooting skills and have some fun. There are 2 leagues occurring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The students meet every week after school in the gym from 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to shoot some hoops. There will be an elimination tournament before the holidays. Good luck players!
